2005 Racehorse White
Napa Valley
This is the inaugural release of Racehorse White. The Racehorse series is an ode to our two biggest passions at RustRidge Ranch & Winery – artisan wine and Thoroughbred racehorses.
The 2005 Racehorse White Napa Valley Chardonnay offers tremendous pedigree at a reasonable price. It is a richly layered and wonderfully structured Chardonnay. Aromas of apple, pear, a hint of kiwi, vanilla cream and stone minerals translate directly to the palate. These flavors meld into a creamy and rich texture followed by a long tropical finish. An ideal complement to pasta and polenta with cream sauces, white fish, calamari, scallops and even fried chicken.

50% Chardonnay, 50% Chenin Blanc. A field blend of 45 year-old vines. Aged for 6 months in Hungarian Oak, this wine has all the roundness of a good Chardonnay, but the Chenin spices it up a bit with flavors of Indian chutney, mangos, and papaya. 2009 Diablita Blanca Sonoma County
Sonoma County
Diablita Blanca $16 per bottle
Don't let the cute Diablita label fool you --this is a terrific bottle of wine.
The green apple, apricot and pineapple aromas leap from the glass with the 2009 Blanca. Those crisp apple and citrus flavors are upfront from the first sip, too, with good, integrated acidity. Since we introduced Blanca with the 2007 vintage, it has been one of the most popular wines we produce, and when you taste this year’s release, you’ll know why. The blend of Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling and Viognier make this an approachable, enjoyable wine. It will pair well with grilled lemon chicken, mango and chili basted-shrimp kabobs, or a sunny afternoon on the beach or patio.

2004 Segromigno
Dry Creek Valley
The 2004 vintage gave us very ripe flavors and slightly higher than normal acidity, due to some dehydration of the grapes. This resulted in a wine with jammy and spicy fruit with a crisp finish thanks to the acidity. The low to moderate tannin level makes Segromigno a no-brainer for daily use at the table.

2005 Segromigno
Dry Creek Valley
By including our best lot of Sangiovese, we have made a Segromigno that is more complex and sophisticated than our previous renditions, which really becomes apparent when you taste this wine a day after it is opened. As such, this wine should age nicely over the next 2 to 3 years...but don’t hold on to it for much longer.

2006 Segromigno
Dry Creek Valley
Segromigno is a blend of 92% Sangiovese, 4% Syrah and 4% Barbera. We use the grapes grown on the east hillside and our recently grafted Sangiovese grosso vines. Both of these vineyard sections give us a fruit forward wine that is not as structured as our west hillside vines. Syrah and Barbera come from our creekside vineyard, planted in 1998.
Our 2006 Segromigno really features the loveable side of Sangiovese. It is very aromatic, with bright cherry and dried herb flavors. It is a fruit forward, medium bodied red that will pair with a wide variety of foods. While this wine has the potential to age 2 or 3 years, why wait?

2007 Carte Blanche
Sierra Foothills
Light straw yellow. Intensely aromatic, expressing mainly flowers, herbs, and spices, with berries and some oak in the background. Medium-full bodied, lean, pure, and intensely flavorful. Again, flowers/herbs/minerals, with ample ripeness and fruit giving it a perfect balance. Unusually intense and persistent, truly elegant. This wine should evolve over many years (15+) and will keep changing in the process… One thing to note is that between every two "in focus" points of its evolution, this type of wine may well go "out of focus" and taste a little ackward, weird, tired, sometimes even appear oxydized before showing well again. Something like a snake shedding its skin…

2006 Carmichael "Grigio e Bianco" White Table Wine
Monterey County
Light in color with a very floral bouquet, one's initial impression of our Grigio e Bianco might be that it is a simple, fruity wine. But with each new sniff and taste, it offers another layer of complexity for those who take the time to look. Notes of lavender and lanolin come from the Pinot Grigio, with mango and sweet pea coming from the cool-site Sauvignon Blanc. Contrary to its fresh and delicate aromas, the 'GeB' has a depth and presence about it once tasted. There is a lightness up front, where herb and orange blossom tones transition to a pervasive lemon candy mid-palate, which then yields to a clean, lingering lemon peel finish. This harder, more structured edge is driven by the barrel-fermented Chardonnay component. Floral and exotic, while at the same time carrying good weight and balance, this unusual (and delicious) blend is a very versatile wine, well-suited to patio sipping or simple, lighter pasta, fish, and chicken dishes.

2006 LA Blanc
Husch holds a strong belief that wine should be affordable, especially within our own local community. For this reason, we blend each year a white table wine that can be enjoyed by our friends and neighbors on a daily basis. Not surprisingly, our LA Blanc is a favorite with local restaurants and neighbors who drop by the tasting room to pick up a case. In 2003 we renamed the wine to pay tribute to Luke and Amelia, the fourth generation in the H.A. Oswald family.
This year’s vintage is an enticing blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay with a touch of Muscat Canelli and Gewurztraminer. The grapes were harvested and brought directly from the vineyards to the winery where they were immediately pressed. The Sauvignon Blanc, Muscat Canelli, and Gewurztraminer juice was cold-fermented slowly in stainless steel tanks to preserve the subtle aromas and flavors of the varieties. The Chardonnay was barrel fermented and then racked-up to tank for aging.
The resulting wine has initial aromas of honeydew, wildflowers, apple and pear. It finishes off-dry, with a crisp finish and lingering tones of tropical fruit and orange peel.
This versatile wine is excellent with light entrees of p

2006 Rock White
Calaveras County
Our flagship white wine, and first ever White Rock, this blend of Chardonnay and Viognier is a classy and delicious example of the European winemaking tradition. We used a high percentage of new French oak barrels, allowed the wine to ferment with the natural yeast present on the grapes when they were crushed, and aged the wine on the yeast sediment for 10 months after fermentation to enhance complexity. The result is a smooth, voluptuous, layered wine, with baked apple and lemon drop aromas, and lots of toasty oak. Compare this wine with the best of California’s Chardonnays.

2006 Ménage à Trois White
Napa Valley
The 2006 Ménage à Trois white is a trip to the islands without the worry of sunburn or bugs. It’s undeniably fruity and unabashedly easy. It’s meant to be quaffed, not analyzed. Citrus and tropical fruit flavors with crisp acidity. Dare we say it’s refreshing? With food or without, alone or with two companions, this is one of the most exhilarating experiences imaginable.
The 2006 Ménage à Trois white marries Chardonnay, Muscat and Chenin Blanc. Each variety is individually harvested, gently crushed and cold-fermented in small stainless steel tanks to preserve freshness and character and retain the juicy fruit aromas. The Chardonnay is rich and firm. The Muscat is wild and exotic. The Chenin is soft and supportive. Together they make the perfect threesome.

2006 "Bountiful Blanc"
Mencarini Vineyards
Our Bountiful Blanc is our first release of a white blend, and just in time! The blend combines both varietals, Symphony and Sauvignon Blanc, which come from local vineyards on the east side of Lodi.
The pale straw colored wine starts with your typical floral nose, characteristic of the Symphony varietal. After slight aeration, bright fruit flavors of apricot and freshly cut grass surround the glass reminiscent of summertime. Our Bountiful Blanc is a well balanced, multi-purposed wine with just the right amounts of acid and natural fruit flavors.
The fresh and fruity nose combined with the long fruity finish make this wine the perfect summer aperitif. Enjoy this wine at a barbeque or picnic, on the water or in the woods, with light hors d’oeuvres, any fish or chicken dish, or just enjoy a glass by itself!
